Dr. Andrew N. Lu
Meet Dr. Andrew Lu, a compassionate optometrist dedicated to enhancing the vision and eye health of his patients. Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Lu completed his undergraduate studies at New York University in New York City and The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. He has a bachelors in Fine Arts, World History, and Biology. After years of working in the film and television industry, Dr. Lu then went on to achieve his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Dr. Lu's expertise lies in conducting comprehensive eye exams, performing refractions, fitting glasses and contact lenses, and diagnosing and managing various eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes-related eye complications. He is committed to providing personalized care, taking the time to listen to his patients' concerns and tailor treatment plans to meet their individual needs.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Lu cherishes spending quality time with his family, wife and their beloved dog. He enjoys exploring the great outdoors, loves film and television, staying active in his community, and is passionate about promoting eye health education. With a warm and caring demeanor, Dr. Lu strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves both inside and outside the office.
Dr. Luis W. Lu, M.D.
For over 35 years, Dr. Lu has been providing medical and surgical eye care as the founder of the Elk County Eye Clinic / Pennsylvania Eye Consultants and Eye Consultants of Arizona in Chandler.
Dr. Lu is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Eye Surgery. Graduated from the HHC Division of Columbian University and Fellowship at Columbia and Harvard. Further, he has written 3 textbooks in Ophthalmology and contributed 25 chapters for other texts in the field, as well as over 500 articles in Continuing Medical Education teaching Residents and Fellows in Ophthalmology. Dr. Lu is a former Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is presently an Honorary Professor of Ophthalmology at the UPCH School of Medicine.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Lu has received multiple awards for his contributions to teaching including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Award, seven times the AMA Award, the KSMG Group Barraquer Award in France, the Mexican, Argentinian, Colombian and Peruvian Societies Awards.
